The boys started their campaign with home games for the first round of the Bishop’s Cup, where they were drawn against English Martyr’s, St Teresa’s and St Charles’.
The games were played to a high standard but unfortunately despite a promising 1-1 draw with St Charles’, the boys were beaten in the other two fixtures 1-0 each resulting in them getting knocked out of the competition and therefore joining the Bishop Cunningham Cup.
Later in the first half term, the boys then played in some leagues fixtures against Ivy Road and Benton Dene and managed to win one of the games 5-1 and draw the other 1-1. A great start to the campaign.
In the Spring term, the children will look forward to more football as they play league fixtures and enter the Bishop Cunningham Cup.
