This year, the children have enjoyed a wonderful range of festive Christmas activities filled with fun, creativity, and celebration.
We began December with our Christmas performance, where every child took part with great enthusiasm. They sang beautifully, joined in with the actions, and looked absolutely fabulous in their costumes. The performance featured all the traditional Nativity characters, along with animals and shining stars, as well as some cheeky elves, Santa, and cheerful snowmen.
During our RE sessions, the children explored the true meaning of Christmas. They brought the story to life by acting it out using figures and masks within our continuous provision areas, showing great imagination and understanding.
Throughout the season, the children enjoyed making their own wrapping paper, decorating the Christmas tree, creating Christmas cards, and taking part in lots of festive activities. We also had a Christmas party and disco, where everyone wore their best clothes and enjoyed dancing, playing games, and having lots of fun together.
To make the celebrations even more special, Santa came to visit our school! He read us a story, and we all enjoyed crumpets for breakfast — a magical end to a truly memorable Christmas season.
