On Thursday 28th November and Friday 29th November we welcomed families into Early Years to take part in our stay and play sessions. These were well attended and the parents and children enjoyed working alongside each other. It was an opportunity for parents to see their children interacting with others and participating in activities while at school. The activities were based around our topics in class and Christmas. Parents and children could share the story of The Three Billy Goats Gruff, or The Nativity and practice retelling the story - these are the stories we are looking at in Literacy and RE. During Stay and Play, the children decorated a Christmas biscuit and tasted their creation too! They also packed in some other activities including letters to Santa, Christmas wish list pictures, role playing a train journey on The Polar Express and making a salt-dough decoration. All in all, a busy but fruitful morning for the families who attended.
