Sports Week 2025

ree

In what is now becoming an annual event, the children participated in Sports Week. The aim of the week is to inspire and enthuse the children with a love of sport and exercise and provide them with a chance to try a variety of different activities.

Each day, the children chose between different activities. Some of the activities on offer were archery, tennis, rugby, ultimate frisbee, rounders, capture the flag, team challenges, handball, hockey, parachute game, table tennis and Zumba to name just some of the choices! In addition to this, some children also had the opportunity to learn more about healthy eating and even got to make a healthy snack with the Phunky Foods team.  In total, the children got to choose from around 20 different sporting activities across the week. The activities were delivered by a variety of different staff from teachers, teaching assistants and some external coaches.

As well as the various sporting activities, some children also got the opportunity to attend trips such as visits to Forest Hall Tennis Club for coaching from a specialist tennis coach and a trip to Clip and Climb centre on Benfield Road. Year 5 and 6 also went on a stadium tour of St James Park.
