Animal Visits in Early Years

This half term, the children in Early Years have enjoyed visits from the school chicks and Mrs Sore’s mum’s pet tortoise. They have been learning how to care for living creatures and were interested in observing and discussing the differences between both animals.

Children were surprised to find out that tortoises don’t have ears and they loved stroking his hard shell and finding out about his diet and how he hibernates every year. They were very gentle holding the newly hatched chicks and loved hearing them chirp.
