KS1 Rising Sun Visit

KS1 had the most amazing day out at the Rising Sun where they went to visit Santa’s Grotto! It felt like we were transported to the North Pole! Both year 1 and year 2 were lucky enough to meet Santa and ask lots of different questions about Christmas. Santa said his favourite snacks were warm mince pies! They were trusted to hold Santa’s very important keys that let him into the houses and they also sang some carols with his jingle bells.

They all sat around a crackling fire, where KS1 were given some of the elves' special juice. It even had magic dust in it to help them fly!

They then got creative with some fantastic Christmas crafts. Year 1 used some bottle caps to make Christmas trees, whilst year 2 used some real-life wood and branches! To finish a wonderful trip, they made some special reindeer food, following a very specific recipe; nuts to make the reindeers strong, porridge to give them energy and red rice to make their noses light up!

What a fantastic trip to get all KS1 into the festive spirit!
