North Tyneside Athletics Tournament - Year 6

On Tuesday 20^th May, some Year 6 children entered into the North Tyneside Athletics Tournament held at Churchill Playing Fields, in Monkseaton. The event pitted children up against other children across North Tyneside schools competing in various track and field disciplines including: 60m hurdles, long jump, high jump, cricket ball throw, 80m sprint, 800m long run and a relay race.

All the children performed brilliantly throughout their chosen events, but a special mention goes to Jessie Skelton for winning the 60m Hurdles and Lucy Skelton winning the long jump against all the other schools present.
