Toy Swap

The school hall was buzzing with excitement in early December as pupils poured in for our first ever Toy Swap event. Tables were stacked with everything from board games and puzzles to books, dolls, soft toys and well-loved action figures, each waiting for a new home.
Children who brought in toys they were ready to part with received special swap vouchers, which they could then use to ‘buy’ a new treasure from the selection. Others chose to make a small donation instead, adding to the friendly, community-minded spirit of the day. It didn’t take long before new discoveries were being compared, shown off, and proudly carried away.
By the end of the afternoon, many toys had found fresh owners just in time for Christmas, and the smiles around the hall were proof of how much joy a simple exchange can bring. Even better, the event raised funds for Children’s Cancer North – a very worthwhile cause.
With such a fantastic turnout and so much enthusiasm from everyone involved, we’re already looking forward to holding the Toy Swap again. If this year’s success is anything to go by, next year’s event will be just as heart-warming—and perhaps even bigger!
